Aspects Of My Mind is an 'in progress' VN inspired by some other visual novels I have played.  It is gay focused and contains NSFW content.  Intentions are to always keep the game free-to-play however you can help support myself and the project through this website and patreon.

ABOUT THE GAME

When I first started playing gay-themed visual novels, the focus really was on the NSFW content.  They were fun to play but didn't have much depth.  I then came across a few games that actually went deeper than this and moved me on an emotional level.  Some of the stories around some of the characters hit me on a very personal level, for example... I have a necklace story of my own very akin to Theo (New Hope).  Reading that really gave me the feels.  It was because of these games I realized visual novels can be more than a source of fun NSFW content and can contain really deep moving stories in an adult-themed genre'.

It was because of this I decided to start creating my own visual novel taking things I knew and was familiar with and trying to spin it into what I am hoping is a moving story of its own.  I wanted to create and share something with people and hopefully move and maybe inspire them the way some of these games have moved and inspired me.

The focus of the story is on several characters and their own struggles and demons, learning to cope and deal with them etc.  There will also be NSFW content, but the goal is it's part of the story and has a place/reason for being there and isn't just 'for the sake of'.

This is my first attempt at making anything this complex and I am learning as I go.  While I have a general familiarity with coding, I would never call myself a programmer or coder and prior to starting this I had no experience with 3d modeling and rendering.  So the creation of this story is going to be as much of a journey as the story itself.  I also learned a GeForce 1070 is maybe not the best card for rendering 3d images lol so...

All that being said, I can definitely see myself growing as I make more and more images and am really excited at what is to come.

CURRENT DEVELOPMENT:

This release is the prologue/demo.  I am actively working on future chapters of the game.  I don't have a specific 'end' for the game itself in site.  I want the story to progress and flow naturally and when it comes to an end, I want it to be natural and fitting.  So for now I am continuing to work on the script and images for the next chapter.

I do ask for patience in updates.  As mentioned earlier I am working on older equipment and images take a very long time to render and I am limited as to how much I can shove into a single image without my computer slapping me across the face and quitting lol.

I am also debating on doing multiple branches or not.  The original intent was to give the option of two of the other characters to progress with, I then decided to go with a single character and am now debating going back to having the option of either.  This will depend on my comfort-level with the coding.

I do have long and short-term goals for the project.  My ultimate goal however is to do justice to each character and their story/journey.

The game is free-to-play and I plan to keep it as such.  If you are inclined to donate and/or pay for the game, I am genuinely and eternally grateful as those funds can help me get better equipment etc to do more with the project.
